Jesper Molin (former PMAN)
“A good piece of art creates feelings and emotions. Jesper Molin creates photographs with reflection, light and expression. He is constantly looking for that special expression that highlights the ideas in the picture. It can be an expression of a face, a pose, or even a still life. As long as the expression creates a feeling it creates art.”
Jesper Molin was born in 1979. At the age of twenty, he got his nickname Pman from a group of friends that refers to his old surname Petersson. He also used Pman as an artist alias for some time.
He is now a well known swedish artist who has turned his passion for photography into art. It started already when he was 10 years old, when he received a camera as a present from an aunt, continuously exploring and studying art and photography ever since.
Jesper Molin studied photography and art at The Photography School in Gothenburg. Already when graduating from his art studies in 2003 he held his first solo exhibition. Since then he has produced several books, projects and participated in several solo and group exhibitions.
The two projects "Yes Baby!" and "Somebody or Nobody" have had several exhibitions, both in Sweden and abroad, and published in major magazines worldwide.
Jesper Molin’s art has in only a few years been mentioned in several major magazines worldwide and several major articles have been written about his art. For example, he got a 12 page spread in "Eyemazing Internationel Art Photography Magazine" and a 14 page spread in "Silvershotz Internationel Journal of Contemporary Art Photography". The latest publication was when one of his images was featured on the cover of the EXIT magazine.
Jesper Molin´s style of photography has created a demand for his work both in Sweden and in other parts of the world.
